The title of this blog must have given you an idea what I am saying about. Yes you heard it right "Sodexho".... Good or Bad for us, the time will say. Sodexho are especially known to people who are related to IT companies especially. Employees of these IT companies are provided with a booklet consisting of vouchers every month. These vouchers in turn can be used Food and Beverages only as indicated by issuing company. Best way I utilise these vouchers is by buying our monthly grocery and other stuffs like Pizza, McD burgers etc.
Well, this is what happened to one of my friend which made me think about Sodexho passes. My roommate missed his regular pickup cab and had to board the well known/most common and prefered transportation... "Taxi". He took the Taxi from indiranagar to ITPL. He had good ride in the taxi as the driver was driving in the rhythm of the music being played. On reaching ITPL, the taxi bill was Rs 150 odd. Unfortunately my roommate was short of cash but yes he did notice sodexho passes in his wallet. He offered sodexho passes to the drive saying... "Dude this is also bahu gandhi note but in the form of coupons (although it doesn't have gandhi's image on it) which can be used by you for food, "drinks" (driver asked any drink.... YES was the instant reply).
Instantly the driver dialed a number from his mobile, had a conversation which my roommate i didn't understood... obviously it was in kannada. Finally the driver accepted the sodexho passes....
I got a call from my roommate saying I was short of money so gave sodexho to the driver. It was surprise to me.
Whom should I appreciate the driver who got convinced by the negotiation skills of my roommate or was it becoz of the power the "Sodexho" passes have?
